Online Membership Dues, Payments & Contributions (Updated for 2021)
NEW MEMBERS: If you are just joining Local 56, you will also need to download, complete and return the application available here.
ALL: Online dues and other payments is an optional service and is provided by Local 56 as a convenience to its members. A 3% online processing fee will be added to the total amount, which is deducted by PayPal before payment is forwarded to Local 56. Payment can be made by credit card or electronic check. Any information received by Local 56 for payment of dues is used only for purposes of recording such payments and is not shared with other parties.
New Member AFM Init. Fee
May be waived for former and current AFM members, students, and all under age 21.
One Quarter Minus Discount for Early Payment
$5 Discount applied for any Quarter Dues payed before beginning of the Quarter.

Active Life Annual Dues
Life Members must be at least 65 years of age and have been a member of the AFM for at least 35 years.
Active Life Members retain all rights and privileges of Regular Membership.
Inactive Life Annual Dues
Life Members must be at least 65 years of age and have been a member of the AFM for at least 35 years.
Inactive Life Members voluntarily accept the following restrictions to membership: they may not perform musically on competitive engagements, run for Local office, nor vote in Local elections.
Former Member Reinstatement Fee
Pay this amount if you are a former member who has been expelled for non-payment of dues. Contact the L56 Office to verify you owe this.
Active Life Board Member
Current or Emeritus Board Members only Age 65+ & AFM Member for at least 35 yrs

Contributions
GRFM Scholarship Fund - Contributions are applied toward scholarships for deserving young musicians who undertake summer music study. Tax deductible under IRS rules. Make check or online payment payable to "GRFM Scholarship Fund, Inc.".
TEMPO - a voluntary political action club. Contributions are used to help promote legislators who are sympathetic to issues that affect professional musicians. Use this link to make TEMPO contributions..
GRFM Emergency Relief Funds - Contributions are put into an account specifically for our members who are going through hardships due to lose of work or other financial instability issues. Members can apply to receive an amount from the ERF by filling out and sending in this application form ERF Application
